Let's Get Acquainted
This blog came out of my experiences as a homemaker and mother who grew up in a simpler and more innocent time and place. I am now a grandmother for the first time.
Isn't it wonderful to be able to rediscover the perfection and marvels of Mother Earth through a child's eyes?
I am from a large family. So, growing up we always had a big veggie patch, a lemon tree and lots of ducks and chooks.
We had to make our own fun, by being inventive and creative!
My interests are wide ranging and include sewing, gardening, cooking, home making, art and craft, massage therapy and all sorts of DIY. I have always been interested in simple sustainable living and knowing how things work, but recently as time whizzes by so fast, I have forgotten to keep in practice.
As a visitor here, I hope you will join me on my journey as I rediscover my creative side and help nature at the same time by making things from scratch.
With your encouragement and feedback, I hope to provide some inspiration so that you can have a go and hopefully feel more self-sufficient.
